NC Certified Sites

North Carolina Certified Sites The NC Certified Sites Program makes your search for a qualified site even easier. The program requires sites to undergo a rigorous prequalification process to ensure they meet a consistent set of standards. A Certified Site reduces the risks associated with development by providing detailed information about a site, including price and availability, utilities, access, environmental concerns and potential development costs. Community and property representatives must demonstrate that the 31 prerequisites are met and include the following:

  • Engineered site development plans
  • Detailed analysis of development cost
  • Complete information on pricing
  • Business/industrial use designation
  • Phase I environment audits
  • Geo-technical studies
  • Topographical analysis and maps
  • Aerial photography
  • Availability of public utilities
  • Industrial power quality

Alamance County has two NC Certified Sites:
