| Headline: State Certifies Site as "Ready to Develop" |
NC Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary, Dale Carroll, shared with local elected officials and community leaders news that the site at Whites Kennel Road and Anthony Road recently received certification from the North Carolina Department of Commerce as an "NC Certified Site." This certification ensures the site is shovel-ready for industrial development and will save a client time and money when conducting a site search and constructing a new facility.
To achieve certification, the following items were among documents submitted for the site:
Phase I Environmental Study
Wetlands Delineation
Geo-Technical Study
Maps to include: topography, current land use, hydrology and a conceptual site plan
50-year title search
Detailed specifications for power, water & sewer, telecommunications and natural gas
A graphic representation of a conceptual master plan, with development costs for each site
To view the above information and more about this site, see the general marketing report on the NC Economic Development Intelligence System (EDIS) website or click here to see detailed information on the site. For information about Alamance County, visit the Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce site.
This site at Whites Kennel Road in Alamance County is one of the first in the state to achieve certification under North Carolina's new, more comprehensive site certification guidelines.
