Retail Sales

Alamance County has a strong retail community. Two major centers anchor the county along Interstates 40 and 85 which run concurrent East and West through the area. On the eastern border of the county, Tanger Outlet Centers; a collection of 75 brand name outlets in an outdoor plaza-like shopping center. The center opened in 2010 and continues to be a strong draw for regional shoppers. To the west, Alamance Crossing provides shoppers with an assortment of department and specialty stores, restaurants and entertainment options.
